Wind Technician - Experience Performing Gamesa Scheduled Services

Auxilius Heavy Industries (AHI) is seeking experienced wind technicians with prior experience performing scheduled semi and annual services on Gamesa wind turbines.  Applicants must be highly knowledgeable, self motivated, and capable of performing all Gamesa Semi-Annual and Annual services with minimal direction and supervision.  A detailed description and qualifications are listed below.     

  • Expected minimum schedule 5 or 6 days/week, 8-10 hours/day
  • Work at heights of 260+ feet above the ground.
  • Evaluate, check, and maintain electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems on Gamesa G87 and/or G90 wind turbines.
  • Perform scheduled inspections, and maintenance per customer specifications on Gamesa G87 and/or G90 turbines.
  • Work with and follow instructions, procedures, diagrams, and control systems.
  • Complete reports and paperwork as required.
  • Utilize appropriate safety gear & protective equipment to ensure work is performed in safe manner.
  • Ensure cleanliness of facility and tools.
  • Perform other duties as required by project or assigned by stakeholders.
  • Previous wind turbine technician experience performing post-construction O&M on Gamesa turbines required.
  • Current First-Aid CPR/NFPA 70E/Climb and Tower Rescue certification with documentation preferred.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electronic testing equipment (i.e. voltage testers, amp clamps, oscilloscopes, various hand tools, and power tools.)
  • Ability to read drawings, prints and schematics to perform work to customer specifications.
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures for extended periods of time and platforms 260+ feet above the ground.
  • Ability to commit to a full time work schedule with possible overtime.
  • Possess a valid US drivers license, and willing and able to travel to any work sites within the US.
  • Pass a post offer pre-employment physical and drug screen and background check.
