Description
Auxilius Heavy Industries (AHI), a rapidly growing wind industry service provider located in Fowler, Indiana, is seeking candidates to lead a main component exchange crew performing various main component exchanges at customer locations around the country.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience performing and leading activities of crew(s) performing repair and replacement of wind turbine main components including and not limited to Main Bearings, Gearboxes, Generators, Rotors, and Blades.  May be required to fulfill other duties as assigned between projects.
  • Must possess an honest, positive, and people friendly demeanor including strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience on Vestas V82 and GE 1.5/1.6/1.X platforms strongly preferred.  Experience on additional or alternative wind turbine models shall also be considered.
  • You will be responsible for leading, guiding, directing, managing, training, and assuring safe-work practices of crew(s) of 4 to 6 wind technicians in the performance of activities stated above.
  • Will report directly to Operations Management and have direct communications with customer stakeholders.
  • Will be responsible for logistics and planning for projects, and will routinely coordinate with operations management planners and customer stakeholders.
  • Full reporting responsibilities to both Operations Management and Customer stakeholders; including daily, weekly, and as-required reporting per project.
  • Possess strong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), as well as email communications.
  • Possess valid driver’s license along with clean MVR record to allow operation of company vehicles in accordance with company insurance requirements.  Possession of CDL license or ability to acquire will be beneficial.
  • Shall be required to travel within the continental U.S. for projects.  Expected travel annually will likely be 50% – 75%.
  • Starting wage: Can be $30+/hour and to be based upon interview(s), positive references, and verifiable experience on all aspects related to this role.
