Auxilius Heavy Industries (AHI) is seeking Wind Technicians with prior field experience performing preventative maintenance and other service activities on GE wind turbines.  Work location for this role is in the Midwest.         

  • Expected minimum schedule 5 days/week, 8 hours per day with a possibility of working 6 10-hour days.
  • Work at heights of 260+ feet above the ground.
  • Evaluate, check, and maintain electrical, and mechanical systems on GE wind turbine generators.  
  • Perform scheduled inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and replacements per customer specifications on GE wind turbines.
  • Work with and follow instructions, procedures, diagrams, and control systems.
  • Complete reports and paperwork as required.
  • Utilize appropriate safety gear & protective equipment to ensure work is performed in a safe manner.
  • Ensure cleanliness of facility and tools including cleaning and housekeeping as required by customer.
  • Perform other duties as required by project or assigned by company or customer
  • 6 months (or more) prior experience working on and maintaining GE wind turbines is preferred.
  • Wind Turbine Technician degree or other similar degree, helpful. 
  • Current OSHA-10, First Aid/CPR, NFPA 70E, Climb and Tower Rescue certification with documentation preferred.
  • Familiarity with electrical/hydraulic torque and tensioning equipment, and electrical testing equipment (i.e. voltage testers, amp clamps, and various hand/power tools.)
  • Ability to read drawings, prints and schematics to perform work to customer specifications.
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures for extended periods of time and platforms 260+ feet above the ground.
  • Ability to commit to a full time work schedule with possible overtime.
  • Possess a valid US drivers license, and willing and able to travel to any work sites within the US.
  • Pass a post offer pre-employment physical and drug screen and background check.
